Neuronal or a genetic marker is a gene or DNA sequence with a known location on a chromosome that can be identifying cells individual or species. Markers can be used in research to facilitate insights into the relationship between inherited diseases and its underlying genetic cause.
Markers cans also be used in engineering as they can be used to replace malfunctioning proteins with normal ones.
